According to haberbg.net, SunExpress has announced that it will launch direct flights between İzmir Adnan Menderes Airport and Sofia, the capital of Bulgaria, starting 29 April 2026.
The airline confirmed that the twice-weekly round-trip flights have already been made available for booking in its reservation system.
Under the new route plan, services will operate on Wednesdays and Saturdays, following two separate seasonal schedules spanning the summer and autumn periods.
The first schedule will run from 29 April to 27 June 2026, while the second will operate between 26 August and 24 October 2026.
