Dulovo municipality allocates 90,000 leva for urgent polyclinic roof repairs

The Dulovo Municipality has approved a 90,000 leva allocation from its budget to finance urgent repairs to the roof of the city’s Polyclinic, part of the Multipurpose Active Treatment Hospital. The decision was unanimously ratified during the Municipal Council meeting held today.

A council report revealed that the building’s roof began leaking following heavy rainfall last week. The required funds will be secured through adjustments to the 2025 municipal budget’s revenue and expenditure allocations. The roof spans 1,000 square meters, and although partial repairs have been carried out over the years, the council concluded that a full-scale renovation is now necessary.

Mayor Nevhis Mustafa stated that the need for roof maintenance was identified during the summer, but the budget to cover the costs was only made available through the sale of long-term municipal assets.

The council also addressed updates to a previously approved solar panel installation project and the acquisition of an electric vehicle for social services, financed through the European Union’s Recovery and Resilience Facility. Under the updated provisions, the electric vehicle is required to remain under municipal ownership for a minimum of five years and cannot be sold during this period.
